Copper plating

Another, uncommon, surface treatment carried out at Benoni is copper plating, a process which permit to cover a part within a layer of copper.

Copper plating for metals is an electrochemical process which is generally applied to copper, copper alloy or nickel substrates. The hardness obtainable in the deposit is about 120 HV for thicknesses ranging from 0.5 mm to 10 mm.

Copper plating is often used on conductor rollers or to perform dimensional recoveries.

At Benoni, we are able to treat products with different technical characteristics and dimensions as follows:

  • Maximum diameter: 630 mm or width x thickness: 1500 mm x 600 mm;
  • Maximum length: 4500 mm;
  • Maximum mass: 10,000 kg.
